The Union Catalogue COBIB.BG is being formed by the local catalogues of the different libraries. Firstly, this catalogue contained only the documents of the National Library and was a duplicate of its catalogue.
People could search in the Electronic Catalogue in three different ways:
- Basic search by keyword and option for restricting the search by language and/or type of the documents (use the mark * for terms’ crossing).
- Advanced search by 27 elements and option for restricting the search by language and/or type of the documents (use the mark * for terms’ crossing).
- Expert search by all the elements, indexed with prefixes and suffixes, using the logical operators (AND, OR, NOT) and context operators (WITH, NEAR, SUBFIELD). The search could be restricted by the type of the document.
